A 49-year-old man is due to face a Royal Court trial next year over allegations of sex offences against girls and women.

Shay John Edward Bester was accused of raping three different females – one of them a teenager at the time – between 1994 and 2007.

He is also alleged to have forced two of them to perform sex acts on him.

Mr Bester appeared in the Royal Court this week via video link.

He pleaded not guilty to all 16 charges.

Mr Bester will next appear in court for jury trial beginning 26 January next year.

He was remanded in custody until that date.
