The Magistrate’s Court heard that Kian Davis became “agitated and aggressive” at Out There festival at Val De La Mare on 6 July this year.
Legal adviser Kerry Grieve, prosecuting, said Davis was led towards the entrance to the festival.
He seemed to calm down but then she said: “He became agitated and aggressive, shouting and swearing.”
He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, and the police later discovered he had the Class A drugs cocaine and ecstasy, the Class B drugs cannabis and pregabalin, and a quantity of cash.
Ms Grieve told the court that Davis had a previous conviction for possession of cannabis from 2020.
Advocate Paul Nicholls, defending, said Davis had a steady job as a scaffolder and had co-operated fully with the police.
He added that the drugs were only in small quantities and said: “This is a personal possession offence. They were not for supply.
“He is committed to learning from his actions.”
Relief Magistrate David Cadin agreed to impose a £2,700 fine but told Davis: “For offences of this nature there is a real possibility of a custodial sentence.
“If you don’t change your behaviour and change your drug use, that is what the future looks like.”
