The video, put together by Miss Battles 2009 and 2016, Lucy O’Sullivan and Chantelle Mundy, sees Miss Battles and Battle Ambassadors stretching back to 1961 come together for a festive message.
Due to the pandemic, this year’s Battle of Flowers was cancelled something that had only ever happened before during wartime. The Christmas parade also had to be axed for the same reasons.
To spread some Christmas cheer on the day the parade would have taken place, last year’s event was livestreamed on the Battle’s Facebook page.
To continue in this spirit, former Miss Battles each filmed a short video sharing their festive wishes for the island.
