A community mural painted by a group of local schoolchildren has been unveiled at the entrance to Jersey’s Harbour Gallery.
The young islanders painted the large-scale artwork over the weekend with artist Vince Talcone.
It is entitled ‘The Sky, the Sea and the Harbourside’.
Local charity Art in the Frame received funding for the wood panels and paint for the mural from Ports of Jersey.
Sophie Alexander, Head of Sustainability and Community Value, said Ports was “delighted” to have supported the artwork.

“It’s really special that each young person has contributed a small, unique part, and those smaller contributions have combined together to create something so beautiful,” she said.
“Hopefully they will feel proud showing their masterpiece to their families and friends.”
Pat Robson, Managing Director of Art in the Frame, added: “We would like to give a very big thank-you to Ports of Jersey who have sponsored these walls, especially at such an important time for us.
“We are moving into our second birthday year, having reopened in our new home on 25 April 2023.”
To mark the anniversary, a new exhibition will open this evening.
‘All at Sea’ features the art and craft work of more than 20 local artists.
It will be opened by Ports of Jersey’s Deputy Harbour Master, Louise Stafford, at the Harbour Gallery at Commercial Buildings at 18:30 on Thursday 24 April.
