Islanders on a summer stroll around the harbour may have noticed new artwork appearing in the arches down the slip at Elizabeth Marina.
The second edition of the ‘Art in the Arches’ initiative will see 14 new murals created as part of a project to enhance the area’s cultural appeal.
Commissioned by ArtHouse Jersey, the project has seen established artists collaborate with schoolchildren and community groups to create work inspired by the theme of “out of the blue”.
Meanwhile, five local artists have been busy creating individual murals that explore themes of “identity, place, and unexpected discovery”.
A special event on Thursday 18 September will see St Helier Constable Simon Crowcroft officially unveil the completed works.
