She has 14 years playing experience across county level teams and was awarded the title of Young Coach of the Year by the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2016. Her role will be focused on developing female cricket in Jersey at the junior level and putting in place new initiatives to grow participation and access to the game.

“I am excited to be accepting this role, with a view to progress girls and women’s cricket in Jersey,” says Maddy. “Having gained experience from coaching in various environments around the world, I’m hoping that I can use this to further the opportunities for our young players in Jersey.”
“My immediate aim will be to progress and grow participation numbers across our junior pathway and working to provide opportunities for older players wanting to get into cricket”.
Lee Meloy is Performance & Development Manager for Jersey Cricket. “We’re excited to welcome Maddy to Jersey and see what a coach with her experiences in the women’s game can do to further opportunities for girls of all ages to enjoy the sport,” says Lee.
“We have developed a clear girls’ and women’s strategy to grow the game locally, and with the support of the Jersey Community Foundation with funds from the CI Lottery, we will be able to accelerate our plans.”
