Caroline Moody has taken on the role of Fundraising and Marketing Manager for Autism Jersey.

Mrs Moody said: “I am delighted to have come to Autism Jersey. It’s been my favourite charity for many years because I have a son who was given a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome when he was eight. He is now 23 and thriving, thanks to the right support at the right time.

“People in Jersey are incredibly generous in supporting so many excellent charities, and I am looking forward to working with Autism Jersey to raise awareness of – and much-needed funds for – the essential services we provide to people with autism in the Island.”

Mrs Moody sat on the board of trustees when the charity was first set up and is well known in the Island, having worked in the local media for 30 years, the last 21 of which have been at the Jersey Evening Post.

Autism Jersey’s Chief Operating Officer Paul Sullivan said: “I am delighted, on behalf of all my colleagues at Autism Jersey, to welcome Caroline to the team. I am sure that Caroline will prove to be an invaluable asset to the organisation and the people we support. I look forward to working alongside Caroline during this important time in the charity’s development.”
