Alan George Blair was sworn in as Receiver General at the Royal Court yesterday, succeeding David Pett whose term of office has now expired.
The Receiver General is approved by the Queen to administer the Crown Estate in Jersey, working from the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor.
The role of Receiver General involves overseeing the Crown Estate’s various holdings in Jersey, including land, buildings and sources of income.

A Jersey resident over 40 years, father-of-two Mr Blair was a member of the Honorary Police for 17 years, and recently stepped down from his role as Centenier and Chef de Police for Trinity.
He was also the Managing Director of the Jersey subsidiary of F L Smidth, and has worked in the commercial sector for 35 years.
