Firefighters were called to Police Headquarters last night after a blaze broke out in the server room.
The fire occurred in the Route du Fort building at approximately 23:15 on Tuesday 28 January.
A statement from Jersey Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three fire engines attended the incident.
The statement continued: “Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the room and began to tackle the fire.
“The automatic fire suppression system efficiently activated, and the fire was quickly extinguished.”
Police Headquarters staff were prepared to evacuate the building, but this was not necessary as the fire was put out.
Those working in the Emergency Services Control Centre were ready to move to the back-up facility at the States of Jersey Ambulance Service Headquarters, according to the statement.
It was confirmed that there was no disruption to incoming 999 calls, and no one was injured in the incident.
