Passengers of a car that caught fire in a collision near Robert’s Garage West today escaped with “no serious injuries”, firefighters have confirmed.
The road was closed from the Airport Roundabout to the Airport Playing Fields as a result of the incident, which involved two cars.
The Jersey Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that all passengers were out of the cars when the fire occurred, and there were “no serious injuries”.
The car which caught fire was not an electric vehicle, a spokesperson added.
Emergency services thanked islanders for avoiding the area.
The road has now re-opened.
