Another senior staff member at the Style Group has been awarded tens of thousands of pounds in damages following the construction firm’s collapse – although it remains unclear if any of the claims will be paid out.
Style Shopfitting Limited managing director Mark Greenfield was awarded £57,818.38 by the Employment and Discrimination Tribunal for lack of notice, holiday pay and unpaid wages.
But parts of his claim – which included unfair dismissal and redundancy – were dismissed after he failed to attend the tribunal hearing.
The Style Group – including Style Windows, Style Homes, Style Interiors and long-standing construction firm AC Mauger – confirmed that it had ceased trading and intended to enter winding-up procedures on 14 August 2025.
Earlier this year, five former workers were awarded compensation ranging from around £41,000 to more than £61,000. Previous awards have also included significant sums for long-serving staff, including more than £145,000 for a director surveyor with nearly five decades of service.
It brings the total owed to former staff members of the collapsed construction group to around £600,000.
But it remains unclear whether any of the former staff members will receive this money.
Mr Greenfield’s claim was not defended by the company, which is now in liquidation, so a judgment was issued in default.
