So far she has drawn over 20 pictures and raised more than £1,800.
Speaking about the fundraising, Nelly said: “I never imagined I would raise so much money so I’m really happy and really thank everyone who supported me so far.”
Nelly shares her creations on her Facebook page Nelly-Draws4Durrell, which includes drawings of ‘Kamil and Kamila’ the camels, otters ‘taking a dip’ and George the gorilla.
She told Express that the challenge has been “lots of fun” and that she likes to take time to get the drawings right.
“I make mistakes and have to rub out a head or a leg and my hand hurts if I colour in lots, but I want to help Durrell and said I will do it – so I’m going to keep my word,” she said.

The team at Jersey Zoo said they have loved seeing her pictures and watching her amazing fundraising grow.
“Nelly’s drawings are just incredible and it’s such a fantastic challenge that she has set herself to draw 100 different animals.
“We hope that her passion and drive will inspire other people to set themselves fundraising challenges to show their love for Jersey Zoo.”
Speaking about her future plans, Nelly said: “I have ideas for my 100th drawing but I’m keeping it a secret and I have a lots more to do before then!”
