Chloe Mauger is undertaking a special cycling challenge throughout this month, all to raise money for the GSPCA.

Her goal is to cycle a total of 112 miles, equivalent to an IRONMAN bike distance, and she’s has already completed nearly 30 miles by participating in the ‘Rock to Rocque’ event.

Chloe’s father, Alex Mauger said he’s really proud of his eight-year-old daughter’s efforts.

“My daughter Chloe Mauger began her fund raising challenge to cycle 112 miles during June in aid of GSPCA. She entered the Rock to Rocque, so nearly 30 miles completed and she has raised nearly £250 so far.”

In the days since the Rock to Rocque ride, islanders have been generously donating to her JustGiving page, which can be found HERE.

At the time of writing has surpassed the £300 goal that had been set.

Chloe’s efforts haven’t gone unnoticed, with Steve Byrne, the GSPCA Manager, appreciating the fundraising effort.

“It is amazing the incredible and kind support we see at the GSPCA and what a challenge for 8-year-old Chloe to undertake to help raise much needed funds for our 24/7 work.

“Chloe has got off to a great start having cycled 30 miles of her 112 goal and already raised hundreds of pounds but if you can support her and donate we know she would really appreciate it.

“We wish Chloe all the best with her challenge and looking forward to the updates.”
