An adult male allegedly threw a 16-year-old boy to the floor and smashed his phone following an argument at the weekend.

Police are appealing for information regarding the incident, which took place in the area of Le Jardin Du Soleil at First Tower between 17:00 and 18:00 on Saturday 14 June.

An argument broke out between an adult male and a 16-year-old boy near the east-bound bus stop, according to the force.

The man allegedly threw the boy to the floor, before taking his phone and smashing it on the ground.

The suspect is described as a white adult male around six feet and one inch tall.

Police said he is “chubby with short light brown hair and receding hairline”, with a “short dark brown and grey beard”.

At the time of the incident, the man was wearing a blue short-sleeve t-shirt, a pair of dark shorts, and had black wireless earphones.

The alleged victim did not sustain any injuries from the assault, according to police.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who may have any information about the incident such as dash cam footage or CCTV.
