An 11-year-old girl was reportedly pushed of her pedal cycle – which was then stolen – the States police has said in an appeal for witnesses.
The force stated that the incident took place in the wooded area between Creepy Valley and the Les Quennevais cycle track between 18:00 and 18:30 on Friday.
“Two youths approximately early to mid-teens were involved in a robbery of a pedal cycle, whereby an 11-year-old female was pushed off her pedal cycle, causing slight injury to her finger, with the pedal cycle being stolen,” the police spokesperson continued.
“The pedal cycle has since been found nearby in a damaged state, but the suspects remain outstanding.
“The suspects are believed to be male.”
The force described the two suspects as both being of proportionate build, approximately five-feet and four-inches tall and approximately 14 or 15 years old.
“They were both wearing all black clothing, including black balaclavas. One was wearing a pair of black Nike Air Max trainers and the other wearing a pair of black Nike 95 trainers.
“One was in possession of a black electric scooter.”
It also said that one of the suspects had blue eyes, and the other had brown eyes.
