They say the 31-year-old man was arrested just after 04:00 on New Year’s Day morning.

He’s currently in police custody, and no further details as to his identity have been released.

Over the festive period, Jersey Police published a series of public appeals for information following at least 3 alleged indecent assaults around 08:30 on Christmas morning in the Hill Street area; they said they had also received a further allegation of an indecent assault in the Springfield area, all involving a man on a bike.

This week, alongside releasing the new images of the suspect, the Police said: “Over the past week officers have gathered and reviewed CCTV from a number of public and private sources and are able to release a further video and still image.

“Whilst the low light conditions impacts the quality of the images, it is believed that they are sufficient for an associate of the individual to identify him.

“It is clear from viewed CCTV that there were a number of members of the public who were passed by the suspect on his bike that morning and who may be able to provide further information. They are asked to contact Police.

“Whilst these incidents will be of concern to the public, the Police would like to provide reassurance that they are doing all that they can to identify the perpetrator.”
