The training saw Police Dogs Evie, Turbo and Achilles being put through their paces by a specialist trainer from Surrey Dog School.
States of Jersey Police Inspector Mark Coxshall said that it was important to make sure that the dogs were properly trained to deal with any kind of incident that they might be called to.
He said: “Re-licensing is a process that takes place twice annually in order to maintain a national standard.
“The training tested a variety of disciplines including building searches for vulnerable persons and suspects, fleeing suspects, public order scenarios and providing support for firearms incidents.
“The dogs provide a valuable support role for officers locally and we are very proud of the role that they play.”
