The annual event is a popular fixture in the island’s calendar, featuring an array of modern and vintage aircraft taking part in an impressive display over St. Aubin’s Bay.

But covid caused the festival to be called off in 2020, with organiser Deputy Mike Higgins taking the decision over fears spectators would not properly be able to maintain a physical distance.

Instead of performing in Jersey’s skies, the Red Arrows only made a brief stop-over in the island before taking part in Guernsey’s event.

However, organisers have confirmed they’ll be making a proper return alongside many other favourites at this year’s Battle of Britain event on 9 September.

In a post on Twitter this morning, organisers confirmed the line-up would include the follow.

  • Red Arrows
  • BBMP Lancaster and two Spitfires
  • Army Air Corps Wildcat
  • Two Excel Boeing 727 (Role Demo)
  • J29 Tunnan – Swedish Air Force Historic Flight
  • J32 Lansen  – Swedish Air Force Historic Flight
