Held annually, the event is an opportunity for those working alongside politicians to exchange ideas on how to improve the efficiency and quality of their services and discuss the challenges each parliament faces.
This year, it is being hosted by the States Greffe – the department responsible for supporting States Members.

Attendees include delegates from the libraries of the House of Commons and House of Lords, research services for the Welsh, Northern Irish and Irish assemblies, and information centres based in Scotland and the Isle of Man, as well as local States Greffe workers.
Greffier of the States, Dr. Mark Egan, who is leading this year’s conference, described it as a “fantastic networking opportunity for parliamentary colleagues from around the British Isles to come together to learn and share best practice, as well as discuss the challenges they face in their own parliaments.
“We hope that the event will empower all involved to make a positive difference in shaping the future support of their parliaments.”
