If you had a baby girl called Phoebe or a baby boy called Noah last year then they will be in good company – as these were the most popular baby names in Jersey in 2025.

The top names were published today as part of the Superintendent Registrar’s annual statement for 2025. 

The report provides insights into the key life events of islanders, as well as social and lifestyle trends.

These include births, deaths, marriages, and civil partnerships over the 12-month period.

In 2025, Jersey recorded its lowest number of births since 1945.

There were 698 babies born last year – a 2.5% decrease from 2024, and 30% fewer than a decade ago.

There was an average of 58 births per month, 99% of which took place at Jersey General Hospital.
