All three emergency services are attending the incident which occurred at around 09:03 this morning at the junction of Francis Street and La Colomberie.
The driver’s condition not known at this stage.
Police confirmed that no one else was involved or injured.
The road is currently closed and traffic is being diverted.
People are being asked to avoid the area.
