Paul Adrian Le Marquand (53) was yesterday charged with ten counts of abuse against the same child in the 1970s and 1980s, which he denies.
In total, he is charged with seven counts of indecent assault, one of attempted rape and two counts of sodomy.
Advocate Mark Boothman, representing Mr Le Marquand, indicated his client’s ‘not guilty’ pleas to all ten charges.

On behalf of the prosecution, Crown Advocate Conrad Yates asked the Court to adjourn the case for a trial which will begin on 3 March next year.
Mr Le Marquand was remanded on conditional bail.
