Bikers will be donning their best Santa fancy dress outfits and will take their motorbikes up and down the island tomorrow to spread some Christmas cheer and raise some money for charity.
It will be the fifth annual Santa Bike Ride in aid of Jersey Cancer Relief, which is supported every year by the bikers. The funds raised from this year’s ride will be put towards supporting cancer patients with their doctor’s bills.
The ride will be in two parts, the first beginning at 13:00 on Sunday. The Santa Bikers will be showing off their festive costumes along the route used every year.

Organiser Mark Baker explained: “We’re going to meet at Liberation Square at 13:00 and the actual ride starts at 14:00. We’re going to go past the parade, around town then out west to St. Aubin. We’ll then do a lap around the airport then head back to town.”
The second part of the ride will see the Santa Bikers light up their bikes ready for another spin around the island.
“After the first ride, we’ll gather at the Troubadour whilst we wait for it to get dark so everyone can illuminate their bikes ready for the second ride which will be at around 16:00.”
Mark said: “If you want to join in on the ride, a minimum donation of £5 per bike and a Santa suit required. You can still purchase them from the fancy dress shop in Columberie.”

Islanders are invited to come see the Santa bikers off from their starting point or watch them whizz past on various parts of the route.
It’s still possible to get involved and do your bit for Jersey Cancer Relief if you don’t ride a bike. Mark added: “If you don’t ride a bike, and you still want to get involved, you can pop down to Liberation Square and make a donation. You’re welcome to bring the children down to check out the Santas too.”
