The animal charity is looking for a new home for Scylla, a seven-year-old Chilean rose tarantula.
The spider is venomous and mostly active at night.
Posting about Scylla on social media, the JSPCA said: “When you come to see her in the morning you can check out the tunnels she will have made!”
Scylla needs her own vivarium, but the house can have other pets or children.
According to the JSPCA website, her owners would just need to be careful when handling her.
Potential tarantula owners who aren’t scared of a hair-raising experience can find out more about her on the JSPCA’s website or call 724331.
