The five men, and two women, arrested have since been bailed – their ages range from 16 to 31.
The Police’s investigation, named Operation Shark, was established in February as a drug enforcement crackdown to leave dealers feeling “paranoid.”
This week’s activity has also has seen six drug warrants carried out, seizing drugs worth an estimated value of £6,500, and ranging between Class A and Class Bs (Amphetamine, Cocaine, Ecstasy and Cannabis). These drugs are yet to be analysed.
In addition, £4,000 in cash suspected to come from drug trafficking was seized.
Chief Inspector Mark Hafey (pictured top) said: “Our aim is always to uphold the law and as long as illegal drugs are out there we will continue to target those involved in drug related criminality.
“Recreational drug taking very often is a slippery slope to harder more harmful drugs and we want to stop illegal drugs at the source. This is ultimately about keeping our communities and islanders safe.”
