Young singers are being invited to audition for a new youth choir that will perform at the Jersey Opera House’s reopening gala in October.

All young people in full-time education from school Years 3 to 13 are invited to auditions on Sunday 27 July.

Singers must be available to perform on 3, 4 and 5 October, and attend all key rehearsals.

The performances will be part of a production led by director Nick Carver, musical director Luke Brown, and choreographer Victoria Hermitage to mark the Opera House’s official reopening.

Choir audition places are limited, with 75-minute sessions running at the following times: 09:45, 10:45, 11:45, 13:30, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30.

Parents or guardians wishing to register a young person should email gala@jerseyoperahouse.co.uk and state their preferred time slot.

Places will be confirmed by reply, subject to availability.

Once an audition slot is confirmed, participants will receive full audition details – including sheet music for the audition song, a rehearsal schedule, and a personal details form.
