The Jersey Arts Centre has announced it will be selling various items from its production of Sound of Music after the curtains close on the production on Friday 22 December.

The items – which were purchased new in November and have minimal wear, according to the theatre – include an emerald green sofa, a wooden double bed, hymnal chairs, a vintage oak church pew and solid pine flooring.

Through well-known tunes including Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain and Edelweiss, the show tells the story of a singing Austrian family trying to escape the Nazis before World War II.

It is being performed by The Community Christmas Company – an amateur group that presents a classic children’s tale for all the family each year – in association with ARTComedia.
