A Guernsey-born dance pro will direct a stage revival of the 80s musical classic, Little Shop of Horrors, in Manchester next year.
Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, a former student of the Avril Earl Centre, will also choreograph the production which sees the show return to the UK for the first time since 2007.
She has just choreographed the musical SIX, which was staged in the West End and on Broadway, for which she received an Oliver and Tony Award nomination.
The show will be based at the Hope Mill Theatre, opening on September 25 next year and running until November 29.
The Avril Earl Centre offered its congratulations to its former student.
“It has been so exciting watching your career develop and we look forward to seeing your clever creativity on stage in a directors role,” it said in a post on social media.
The show is being produced by Thomas Hopkins with music by Alan Menken, and the book and lyrics by Howard Ashman.
It is being presented in arrangement with Music Theatre International.
Little Shop of Horrors began as a film in 1960, but was adapted as an off-Broadway musical in 1982 and returned to the big screen as a hit comedy musical film in 1986.
