The move comes in line with the Island Speed Limit Framework which aims to improve consistency and enhance road safety for all, including motorists.

The following areas will see speed limit reductions from next Monday:
La Rue de Sorel (towards Sorel point): Reduced from 40mph to 30mph.
Bonne Nuit Bay: Reduced from 40mph to 20mph
St Brelade: La Pulente Hill reduced from 40mph to 30mph, starting from the railway walk crossing on La Rue de la Sergente to a point just north of La Pulente slipway on La Route de la Pulente.
St Lawrence: La Rue des Saints Germains reduced from 40mph to 20mph, extending into St John’s La Rue des Servais
St John’s Village: Reductions in line with the St John’s Village improvement scheme.
The adjustments aim to improve safety and reflect the island’s commitment to “responsible traffic management”, the Government said.
All speed limits in Jersey are under review against this framework.
