However, organisers from the Maison de la Normandie de la Manche said this afternoon: “Due to boat cancellation, the Norman Market traders will not be able to come this Friday or Saturday.”

They pledged to update islanders as soon as more information is received from Condor Ferries.

The market had promised a selection of French treats, ranging from crêpes to cider and handmade wares, from nine traders making their way across the Channel.
