Jersey has secured second place overall in the medal table at this year’s Island Games, with 30 gold medals.
The team also won 25 silver medals, and 20 bronze.
In first place was the Faroe Islands – with 41 gold medals, 31 silver, and 23 bronze – and Channel Island neighbours Guernsey secured third place overall.

Jersey’s Chief Minister Lyndon Farnham said: “This achievement reflects the hard work, discipline, and teamwork of our athletes, coaches, and support staff.
“You have represented Jersey with pride and professionalism, not only through your sporting success, but in the way you’ve carried yourselves throughout the Games.
“Your efforts have inspired us all. Well done, and thank you, Team Jersey.”
The Island Games took place from 12 to 18 July 2025.
It was estimated that around 2,000 to 2,500 visitors and participants would attend the sporting competition, making it the biggest event ever hosted by the Orkney Islands.
