We’re into the final day of the 2025 Orkney Island Games with Guernsey holding firm in third place on the medals’ table.
By lunchtime on Friday, the Sarnians have 18 Gold and 16 Silver and 16 Bronze medals.
Jersey remains in second place with 68 medals in total.
The Faroe Islands have continued to lead the medals table with 73 in total – 30 Gold, 24 Silver, and 19 Bronze.

Thursday saw a number of medals won for Team Guernsey.
In athletics, in the 100m Hurdles Women event, Rhiannon Dowinton claimed Gold with Victoria Handcock winning Bronze.
The 5,000m Men’s race saw Christopher Bain win Gold.
Swimmer Chloe Bown has now won seven Gold medals, four individual and three team.
Her recent Gold medal was with the Women’s 4 x 100m Medley Relay on Thursday, with a Bronze medal in the Women’s 100m Individual Medley.
Tatiana Tostevin claimed Gold in the Women’s 50m Backstroke event, while the Women’s 200m Butterfly event saw Oriana Wheeler win Silver and Orla Rabey claim Bronze.
In cycling, the Men’s Mountain Bike Cross Country Team Award saw Team Guernsey win Bronze.
Sailing saw Team Guernsey place third in the Sailing Team Event.
Archery saw a Silver medal for Team Guernsey in the Recurve Head to Head Team Knockout.
