Noticing the rapidly rising water, Thai restaurant-goers and others in the area at the time, raised the alarm on social media and contacted the Police.
A group of young people then sprung into action, successfully managing to pull the vehicle out of danger, shortly before the owner arrived with her key.

Taking to Facebook later, the “incredibly embarrassed” owner expressed her gratitude to “all of the beautiful people” who helped.
“You were all so lovely and I am forever grateful for your kindness and support and helping to pull the car out of the sea! I owe you so much!” she said.
“I appreciate everyone’s help and I will forever be grateful! Thank you to the police for phoning my family and raising their concerns and thank you to the person who phoned them! To the people that helped: thank you, thank you, and thank you so much again! So sorry!”
