A family boat trip turned into a rescue mission this weekend when the crew came across two birds tangled in fishing line.
Seafaris staff Josh and Dan leapt into action to try and save two gannets they discovered whilst bringing a family back from Les Minquiers on Saturday 9 August.
Unfortunately, one of the gannets had already passed away, but the pair were able to help the other that was alive but tangled in fishing line.
Josh and Dan managed to cut the bird free and remove a lure from its foot, making it possible for the gannet to fly away.
