A local charity has launched a series of videos with practical advice to support family members caring for people living with dementia.
Dementia Jersey worked with a focus group of family carers to shape the series of 12 short videos, which are now available to watch on YouTube.
The new free online resource, the creation of which was supported by JE, covers everything from effective communication to dealing with behaviour changes and supporting nutrition and hydration.
Dementia Jersey CEO Claudine Snape said the goal was to “help family carers feel more confident in supporting a loved one with dementia to be able to live well within their own home and familiar surroundings for longer”.
