The challenge was launched by staff from the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit to keep spirits high among frontline workers.

Each video produced for the challenge will be shared with the #DanceOffJSY tag, and islanders will be invited to vote for their favourite video and the care team with the best moves by giving it a ‘like’.

The ICU video, in which they showed off a routine to the tune of ‘You’ve got a friend in me’ from the Toy Story soundtrack, has so far been seen over 14,000 times and received over 430 ‘likes’.

VIdeo: The radiology team have done their own version of ‘Is this the way to Amarillo?’.

But the radiology team has already surpassed that with 739 ‘likes’ although their total number of views stands at just over 11,000.

The video sees the masked team walking through hospital corridors – at a social distance – to the tune of Tony Christie’s ‘Is this the way to Amarillo?’.

The first man to appear in the video sports a purple jacket, reminiscent of the one Peter Kay wrote in his 2005 Comic Relief sketch.

The comedian recreated the iconic video last night for ‘The Big Night In’.
