Jersey is set to host the first wellbeing summit of its kind this weekend – bringing together local health, fitness, nutrition and personal development specialists for a morning focused on practical advice and community wellbeing.

Health Starts: The Wellbeing Summit is due to take place at Jersey Opera House tomorrow, with organisers promising an interactive event rather than a traditional series of presentations.

The summit has been created by Hannah Jacques, founder and director of Pro-Found PT, with the aim of making expert health and wellbeing advice accessible to the wider community.

“This isn’t about sitting and listening to presentations,” Ms Jacques said.

“It’s the chance to have live, interactive experiences with trusted professionals. We want people to leave feeling inspired, informed and empowered to make positive changes in their own lives.”

The morning will feature live demonstrations, audience participation and discussions covering areas including physical health, nutrition, movement, mindset, stress management, leadership and personal development.

Among the speakers will be Jo Ferbrache founder of Real Self Discovery who works in personal transformation, chiropractor and Island Wellness co-founder Dr Tom Le Lievre, leadership and expression mentor Georgina Noel, nutritionist and founder of meal delivery service Viva Jersey Georgia Averty and Ms Jacques herself.

Each speaker will bring a different area of expertise to the event, with the organisers aiming to give attendees practical information they can use in their everyday lives.

The summit will also feature local health and fitness businesses, giving visitors the opportunity to meet providers, learn about services available in Jersey and explore options for continuing their wellbeing journey after the event.

Organisers say the event is intended to bring together professionals from different disciplines who share a focus on helping people make sustainable changes to their health and wellbeing.

The event is open to people at all stages of their health journey, whether they are looking to make their first changes or build on existing habits.

Tickets are available via the Opera House website.
