The group of sea swimmers attempting a cross channel adventure from Alderney are still pushing themselves towards that target on the south coast of England.

They have made it past the halfway point in their swim to Swanage, with all swimmers having completed their first stint.

If estimates on the total time it will take them prove to be accurate (30 hours), the team should be finishing their mammoth challenge by 15:00 this afternoon.

At the time of writing, almost £2,000 has been donated to the two charities supported by the Charitable Fundraiser, the Marine Conservation Society and the RNLI.
