Guernsey bowlers are aiming for titles at next week’s British Isles Bowls Championships.
They are part of the Channel Island team, with representation in six categories.
The squad was selected after contests against Jersey’s best in January, although Guernsey’s winning men’s senior four could not travel because of other commitments so Jersey have filled that slot.
“Guernsey did well against Jersey winning seven out of the 11 disciplines and will have a good representation at these championships,” said Ali Merrien.
“I am personally looking forward to defending both the Singles and Fours titles this year, preparation has been short for me due to health reasons, but feeling positive and ready to do battle.”
These Championships are being held in Llanelli, Wales from Monday 10 to Wednesday 12 March.
