Guernsey Cricket’s kit is about to get a revamp, with a new front-of-shirt sponsor announced in Smarter Payment.

The agreement places the financial technology provider’s branding on the front of the national team shirts during international fixtures, ICC tournaments, and official representative matches.

Guernsey is currently ranked 36th in the ICC Men’s T20 International World Rankings, and they recently finished second in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Sub-Regional Qualifier in Cyprus.

Chief Operating Officer of Guernsey Cricket, Richard Headington said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Smarter Payments as the Front of Shirt Sponsor for our Senior Men’s National Team.”

Describing the partnership as “significant” Mr Headington added that it also “aligns strongly” with Guernsey Cricket’s  “ambitions for growth and performance”.

He concluded that the new front-of-shirt sponsor is a “forward-thinking organisation” and claimed their support will “play an important role in enabling our players to compete on the international stage while continuing to develop the game locally”.
