Final permissions are in place for this year’s Guernsey Rally.
Traffic and Highway Services has rubber-stamped the route after last year’s rally was cancelled as the States tried to cut back on admin costs.
“Following careful consideration of a request from Guernsey Rally, we have given permission for a seven-stage rally to take place from Friday 28th February until Saturday 1st March.
“The event will mostly be spread across the rural parishes over the course of the two days with the Rally Club expected to publish stage details in mid-February.”
Properties and any businesses adjoining the stage routes should receive final confirmation of the arrangements from the organisers directly.
The first cars will leave the ceremonial start at the Peninsula Hotel at 13:30 on Friday 28 February.
Organisers have confirmed that three-time FIA World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx will be setting the cars off as they head to Lihou for the first of four afternoon stages that day.
There are nearly 40 cars entered, with a dozen crews set to travel over from Jersey.
