The Guernsey Football Association has announced that the 2025 Muratti Cup will be hosted at the island’s new home of football, Victoria Park.

Once again, both the Men’s Final and Women’s Muratti, sponsored by Close Finance, will take place on the same day.

The inter-islands tournament taking place on Saturday 17 May will kick off with the Women’s Muratti match between Guernsey and Jersey at 10:30, with the home side looking to retain the title.

Then at 15:00, the Men’s team will be battling to regain a trophy they have not lifted since 2017 in what will be the 107th staging of the Muratti Vase Final. 

Alderney will play Jersey at home in the semi-final match on Saturday 22nd March, they have not featured in the final since 1938. The winner will face Guernsey in the final.

Guernsey FA’s Chief Executive, Gary Roberts, said: “This is such a special year for the Men’s and Women’s Muratti competitions, as it marks the first year that both fixtures will be played at our new purpose-built stadium, Victoria Park. 

“We all know how much ‘Muratti Day’ means to players, supporters, and everybody else involved, and this year will be a once-in-a-lifetime moment to experience senior Muratti football being introduced to Guernsey’s new home of football.  

“By holding both matches on the same day, we hope to create an electric atmosphere for fans from across the islands at our new home venue. As always, we invite Guernsey’s home crowd to turn out in force to support both matches, helping to create a truly memorable day for Channel Islands football.” 

Rob Jones, Victoria Park Director, said: “Victoria Park’s inaugural Muratti Day marks a monumental chapter in Guernsey’s football history and the realisation of a 10-year dream to give Guernsey its first home ground especially for moments like this.  

“We can’t wait to welcome fans from across the islands for the first time in May for what promises to be a truly memorable day of competitive football.” 

The day will be a ticketed-only event and more details about how to purchase tickets, and when these will be on sale, will be announced towards the end of March.
