The championships got underway today, with medals being decided this evening in the women’s 20k Race Walk, men’s discus, women’s shot and women’s 5000m.

Chalmers will be in action on Sunday in the first round of the 400m hurdles, which takes place from 12:20, while many of the top ranked athletes have progressed straight into the semis which take place from 11:40 on Monday.

Only the top two from those qualify for the final, which is scheduled for 20:05 on Tuesday.
