Vicky Hancock has won bronze in the Island Games triple jump competition – breaking a 20 year old Guernsey record in the process.
Hancock jumped to success on Sunday afternoon with a leap of 11.47.
She came third behind Jersey’s Zara Asante (11.61) and the Isle of Man’s Georgia Price (11.53).
Hancock’s jump was 0.05m further than Kimberley Goodall’s 11.42m jump in Blackpool in August 2005. Her record had stood since then.
Guernsey’s Holly Drake came fifth in the Orkney Games triple jump competition with a leap of 10.47. Shetland’s Abbie Taylor was fourth with 11.46.
