Tomorrow’s iconic road race will start at 09:00 with the leading runners set to arrive in town within 40minutes.

The frontrunners will be aiming for David Kreckeler’s record, that was set in 1966.

He covered the course in 34:39. Last year’s winner, Rick Weston (pictured top left, with David Kreckeler top right) crossed the finish line in 36:39, quick enough for seventh on the all-time list.

The race was first run in 1946, making it one of the oldest events in Guernsey’s Liberation Day celebrations.

It has been run every year except for 2020.

The runners will line up at Rousse before making their way to St Peter Port Harbour.
