Guernsey Cricket is working with Mourant, with the professional services firm becoming the title partner of the island’s Junior Leagues.
The collaboration involves an investment to support the expansion and development of junior cricket throughout Guernsey.
The leagues provides structured, competitive cricket for children across various age groups, and looks to serve as a primary component of the local player pathway.

Guernsey Cricket says these leagues are essential for building skills and confidence as participation numbers in the sport continue to rise.
Richard Headington, Chief Operating Officer of Guernsey Cricket, called the support a “major boost” for Guernsey’s grassroots cricket and said he was “delighted” to “welcome Mourant as title partner of our Junior Leagues”.
He said the move demonstrated “genuine commitment” to the island’s cricket community, and that “our junior structure is central to the long-term health of cricket on the island, and this partnership will enable us to enhance the experience for players, volunteers and clubs alike”.
John Lewis, Guernsey Managing Partner at Mourant, said they are “proud to support Guernsey Cricket and the development of young players through the Mourant Junior Leagues”.
“Community engagement and creating opportunities for young people are central to our values, and we are pleased to be contributing to a programme that encourages teamwork, resilience and enjoyment through sport.”
This year’s season will involve hundreds of young cricketers from the island’s clubs, and according to Guernsey Cricket, the partnership will specifically help with the delivery of that league, and the development of their dedicated volunteers who act as coaches and umpires.
Registration for the 2026 season is currently open, and families interested in participating as players or volunteers can find more information regarding league structures on Guernsey Cricket’s website.
