Aztec Group has announced an extension of its sponsorship of Guernsey Athletics’ Track & Field Series until 2029, with the partnership aiming to support athletes of all ages and abilities.
The two have been working together for a couple of years now, and has helped the series grow.
Fully licensed by UK Athletics, it offers regular, top-level competition across sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws and distance races, providing athletes of all ages with the chance to compete.
Gordon Purvis, the Head of Guernsey for Aztec Group, said: “Extending our partnership with Guernsey Athletics is a natural expression of our purpose — to enable brighter futures.”
Mr Purvis continued: “The Track & Field Series unites athletes of all ages and abilities, and by supporting it we’re helping to create opportunities that encourage ambition, nurture talent and strengthen the community we’re proud to be part of.”
Tom Druce, Guernsey Athletics Development Officer, added: “Aztec’s support has been key to the growth of athletics on the island. Their continued backing means our juniors, club athletes and aspiring elites can all enjoy first-class competition here at home. It’s a fantastic boost for the whole athletics community.”
