Guernsey Women have started a testing summer of fixtures, with a loss and a win against visitors Lloyd’s of London.

The team, proudly sponsored by Aspida, will dust themselves off after last weekend though, with a break before their other fixtures.

They next play in Sark on 21 June before playing two matches in a day against old rivals Jersey in July – both a T10 and then a T20.

They’ll welcome Hursley Park to the KGV in August for a series of matches over three days to round off the season.

“The Guernsey Women’s Senior Team continues to train hard and make great progress, and these fixtures will give us plenty of opportunities to test all our skills in what promises to be a cracking series of matches,” said Senior Women’s captain Krista De La Mare.

“We will be looking to use all our squad during the season. We have had a couple of injuries to key players, so that gives the rest of the squad the impetus to step up and really make their mark. I’m confident that whoever pulls on a green shirt for us this summer will give their all for Guernsey.”
