The local football season has officially reached its conclusion, with the final trophies of the campaign handed out over the weekend and plenty for Archie Corbett and Elliot Corbel to discuss on this week’s episode of The Cool Down.

The pair reflect on St Clement’s successful end to the season after adding another piece of silverware to their collection, as well as a dramatic conclusion to the Over-35s title race and further success in Jersey’s growing walking football scene as Portguese Club of Jersey achieved league honours.

There is also recognition for St Paul’s, whose Under-18 side rounded off a remarkable campaign with yet another trophy, contributing to an extraordinary season for the club across senior and youth football.

Away from football, attention turns to the start of the local cricket T20 season. Old Victorians and St Ouen Springfield both made strong starts, while Elliot runs through the standout results and performances from across Division One and Division Two.

The podcast also looks ahead after Jersey RFC discovered they will share a league with Guernsey next season, setting up a series of highly anticipated inter-island encounters in National League rugby.

Elsewhere, Archie and Elliot highlight the efforts of Kalem Taylor, who completed five walks around Jersey in five days to raise money for Jersey Cancer Relief and Mind Jersey.

And before signing off, the pair reveal details of an exciting new project coming to The Bailiwick Sports Podcast ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring exclusive interviews and stories from across the footballing world, including a conversation with a Premier League winner.

Tune in for all that and more on this week’s Cool Down.
