The Jersey Rally takes centre stage this weekend, with more than 70 teams preparing to tackle the island’s country lanes and coastal routes.

Archie Corbett and Elliot Corbel look ahead to a packed few days of sport, with the rally getting underway at the Showground and two-time champion Ross Le Noa among the favourites alongside Derek Le Bailly.

Former winners Stevie Leonard and Jeremy Baudains are also in the field, with Ben Andre and Kieran Gregory joining them in the co-driver’s seat for what promises to be a thrilling test across 90 miles of Jersey roads.

There is plenty happening on the football pitch, too, with the Jersey Bulls looking to build on their midweek 2-0 win over AFC Stoneham when they face Kingstonian tomorrow. A number of players will be missing due to James Querée’s wedding, making it a stern test for the Bulls.

Stan Dunne also featured for Bristol Rovers in their 4-1 EFL Trophy defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

The Evelyn Partners Jets prepare for their first home game of the season against Ryland on Sunday. Their opponents, promoted alongside the Jets last season, have won all three of their opening matches.

Jersey RFC travel to third-placed Old Albanians looking to build on their first win of the campaign, while the Jersey RFC Women head to Medway after starting their season with victory.

The weekend also brings the Touch Rugby Inter-Insulars at CoinShares Park, alongside a full programme of local football and hockey, including cup action for the island’s Under-16 hockey sides against Reigate.

Another busy weekend awaits – and The Warm Up has it covered.
